What is your favourite social media platform, and why?
Instagram - It's where I have been since 2010 and as a result, I get roll-outs of new features fairly quickly which allows me to be in the know of the latest technology so I can there coach my content clients through it.
Tell us about you and your current role or area of interest.
As a Transcendental Hope Coach, I help people (HSP-Empaths) understand how to target hope as a mindset to then use it as fuel to create fearlessly and confidently.
Spirituality is always an area of interest, so I also mentor people to understand their human experience, empath gifts and spiritual journey.
What do you like about your career or area of focus?
I LOVE everything about my life and my work. I have managed to incorporate every single lesson from all areas of my background into what I do with my daily work and it's a rare gift I do not take for granted, ever.
What is the best advice you have ever received?
My father (R.i.P) said to me "You can do anything you want" and I believed him.
What inspires you, motivates you, or helps you to move forward?
Envisioning the end result of my goal, the end feeling of accomplishing it is something that has fueled my motivation since I was seven and I wanted to learn the English language and host interviews and be interviewed. Aside from this, my family and the goals my husband and I work for as a couple are great motivators.
What are you proud of in your life so far?
Every single step that I have brought me to this point, right here, right now. THANK YOU!
What is your preferred way to meet new people/network?
I love social media, but I am LOVING Social Audio. In-person events will always be a great window into networking and I'm sure this stems from a background in real estate.
What skills or qualities do you feel have helped you?
Learning a language, playing instruments, exploring different areas of the hospitality business, coaching in real estate, selling/marketing running social media for 10+ years...They have all contributed to my present life circumstances.
What do you wish you had known when you started out?
That self-doubt is precious time wasted. Now I know I don't have time for self-doubt, I will create whatever I want to create, against the fear and it feels amazing.
Who do you most admire in business, academic or creative circles and why?
After 20+ years in Real Estate and being a leader in his profession, my husband is of great help and influence in how we run all of our businesses. Academically, as a literature major, I admire Transcendental influences such as Walt Whitman (Song of Myself poem) and Emily Dickinson.
Creatively speaking I love Donika Gunther and her sister Bobbi Bicker, Kimberly Kay Scott, Keith Keller, Kristy Michelsen, Billy Dees, Ruth L. Sneider, Revolution McKinnes and Ron Perry and other amazing creators in the Twitter community who inspire me daily.
Outside of your professional/work area, what hobbies or interests do you have or what other areas of your life are of real importance to you?
My toddler rules the world. I do everything else while he is sleeping and when he's awake he's the boss. We love spending time outside chasing butterflies, in the pool or parks such as Sea World or Wild Florida. Aside from this, I absolutely love reading and gardening.
Has the pandemic had a positive or a negative effect on you and/or your business, and how have you managed it?
I got furloughed from real estate during the pandemic, so it opened the door for me to be a full-time content creator and I'm never going back.
Do you have a mentor, or have you ever mentored anyone?
I mentor several people and I see my coach/mentor once a week.
What advice would you have for someone looking to get into the same area of work or interests?
Find a coach (me) who can assist you in creating the structure that works for you and only you. I am here for you.
What do you feel is the most common reason for people failing or giving up?
I believe people give up because, in the era of immediacy (one click can access so much nowadays), we don't like to wait for things. This is detrimental to our personal development because the greatest things in life take time.
Most people give up without trying because they realize their goal will take longer than they're willing to wait... This is why HOPE as a mindset is key.
Is there a phrase, quote or a saying that you really like?*
"I can do anything I want", my father taught me that and I didn't believe it until I was 30 years old.
What companies, brands, or institutions do you like or do you think are getting it right?
Lumia Coaching is absolutely at the top of the list, ICF Certified provide an impeccable certification that I am proud to have invested in. Aside from this, they also provide post-graduate studies for the license exam with the International Coaching Federation.
Brain.FM is a favourite brand and stable in my creative process. I use it daily and it helps every single one of my clients. Feel free to try a FREE trial and 20% off your membership here.
How do you define success, and what lessons have you learned so far that you could share with our audience/readership?
We all define success differently. For me, success at seven years old was having a conversation 100% in English while no one in my family spoke the language. I get to do this every day with 100s of people living and in my coaching.
So, I'm already successful. My inner child couldn't be happier. Everything else is an added blessing! In general, for me, success is being able to create what I want to create while still showing up for my family, and how they need me to show up.
