The Global Coronavirus
The Global Coronavirus
The rapid pace at which the Coronavirus has spread throughout the world has been staggering. Here at The Global Interview, we remain concerned with the impact this is having on people. It is a little encouraging to see (at this moment) some areas actually reporting decreasing cases of Coronavirus.
It is now widely recognised that the epicentre of the COVID-19 situation has moved to Europe and many countries are now facing difficult decisions in how best to prevent further outbreaks and community transmissions. Communities and countries are implementing similar rules and thankfully we are seeing the learning's from areas impacted early on, being passed on and shared with other medical and government teams.
While the laboratories and medical facilities around the world work rapidly in the background to produce a vaccine many people are doing what they can, this has resulted in some locations the closing of schools, colleges, theatres, museums, sporting events, mass gatherings, and more.
A large and growing number of businesses are now working from home or are considering how they can facilitate their workers to work remotely in the hope of preventing additional community transmission. Not all organisations and jobs have this available to them, and we are thinking of all our front line medical staff who are dealing with this global pandemic.
